After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1980, ADHD Life Tools Founder, Judy Bandy, worked as a nurse in pediatrics and community health for five years. She then took a hiatus, during which she learned about her desire to work with a team to make a difference in peoples’ lives. In 2002, Judy became a middle-school nurse serving sixth through eighth graders and quickly developed a passion for students managing ADHD.

Judy routinely saw teachers, parents and students trying very hard to deal with the everyday struggles of ADHD. However, after learning more about the neurological basis of the disorder, she realized that “trying harder” wasn’t going to be enough: We need to “train” differently.

To support students with ADHD in this training, Judy developed a program founded on education and executive function support, including working with teachers and parents. She authored the curriculum “Tools for an ADHD Learning Lab” and began consulting with other middle schools to initiate ADHD Learning Labs.  In these labs, mentors work with students struggling with ADHD in order to positively impact students’ lives, with the support of parents and teachers.

Judy is energized and honored to work with individuals, families and schools managing ADHD. Contact Judy today for more information on how to partner with her.
