ADHD Coaching

As a one-on-one ADHD Life coach, Judy Bandy, comes alongside individuals and their families to support them as they learn to manage and maximize their lives. She provides education about ADHD that results in new perspectives about the challenges individuals with ADHD may face. As their understanding about ADHD increases, students work with Judy to build on their strengths and understand new approaches to reach specific goals.

Judy offers encouragement to young people and parents as she works with you to design approaches that help clients self-regulate to be who they want to be and do what they want to do. She also offers a unique perspective on supporting students with chronic illnesses and ADHD. Her work as a registered nurse provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the additional challenges that these young people face, and can help create stable and consistent routines to manage both a chronic illness and ADHD.

Judy has worked with clients to build goals around:

  • Time management
  • Organization
  • Getting started
  • Managing distractions
  • Persisting towards a goal
  • Prioritizing
  • Completing homework or a project on time
  • Relating better with friends and family
  • Feeling less overwhelmed
  • Regulating emotions
  • Managing finances
  • Conquering the college application process
  • Establishing and practicing routines
  • Succeeding in college
  • Preparing for and taking tests
  • Writing papers
  • Securing a job
  • Balancing work to allow for more free time
  • Developing mindfulness
  • Managing ADHD and a chronic illness, such as diabetes or asthma

With encouragement and personalized strategies, young people with ADHD can begin to show the world their best selves. Judy helps them realize they can manage their ADHD rather than their ADHD managing them!
